It's cut from full-grain Wickett & Craig leather, fully lined, and stitched with heavy bonded nylon thread, then wet-molded to the 1911 so the pistol sits secure — held by a strap and snap — and comes out clean when you reach for it. This one comes in my most popular finish: rich brown leather with white stitching.

The Kodiak carries your 1911 up on your chest, out of the way of a pack and off your hip, right where your hand falls — the way to carry a full-size pistol in the backcountry or bear country without it dragging on you all day.
